Ken Wendt -
President, CEO - Ken has worked in this industry since 1983. Prior to founding Wendt Construction in 1990, Ken worked for a large general contractor who provided services to the Major Oil companies as the lead project manager to Chevron Corporation. Ken’s duties are in outside sales, estimating, and project management.
Karie Wendt -
Vice President, CFO - Prior to joining Wendt Construction, Mrs. Wendt worked at a Savings and Loan as a loan specialist in the Special Projects Dept. Her current responsibilities include the administration of all office duties to include accounts payable and receivable, payroll, health, dental and 401k administration, insurance administration and account management. She has a degree in Business Administration.
Don Gilmer -
Sr. Project Foreman - Don has been with Wendt Construction for over 17 years and his duties include project site supervision, training, safety compliance, budget administration, quality control and schedule compliance. Don is known for bringing projects in on budget and under schedule with a high degree of quality. Don’s knowledge of construction and attention to detail are his strength. Don has been in the petroleum industry for 22 years plus and operated heavy equipment with his prior employer excavating and installing underground fuel tanks and demolishing service stations.
Ernesto Ramirez -
Project Foreman - Ernesto has been with Wendt Construction for 13 years and his duties include supervising the installation of gasoline storage tanks, underground distribution lines, gasoline dispensers, and monitoring systems. He is also responsible for training new employees in this extremely unique and highly skilled field. It is imperative to have someone with Ernesto’s skill, expertise and experience in this position. Prior to joining Wendt Construction, Ernesto worked fro a large petroleum company in the Bay Area for 5 years.
Greg Taylor -
Project Foreman - Greg joined Wendt Construction in 1994 where he started out as a laborer. With his hard work and dedication, Greg soon moved up the ranks to a piping Foreman, and then project foreman. With his quality workmanship, attention to detail and project schedules, he quickly met and exceeded all expectations. Greg has 16 years experience in the petroleum field.
Wendt Construction’s many years of experience in management, long term employees that are highly skilled, low turnover, pay and benefits that surpass the competition along with low overhead, experienced and skilled subcontractors all combine to give Wendt Construction an advantage on the competition. Wendt Construction has a lower employee to manager ratio than its competitors allowing for better quality and financial control over each project. Wendt Construction runs 1 crew per project manager while others run 2-3 crews per manager.
